  CONTRACT FARMING ::

Indian farmers have been looking for some better alternatives to diversify from traditional agriculture due to gradual reduction in profitability owing to decline in productivity, increased incidence of disease and pest attack in traditional crops. Medicinal plant cultivation proved to be a better option. Considering inherent strengths of India like suitable agro-climatic conditions, vast Bio diversity, Indian farmers can harness the benefit of this growing market.

Lack of exact market information, dominance of traders and non-existence of the local markets for medicinal plants are deterring the farmers. Other constraint is lack of standard agricultural practices. Since herbs are produced mainly for the export market the quality of these has be maintained as per International requirements.

.: Few Herbs we grow :.

Coleus Forskohli

Picrorhiza

Saussurea lappa

Aloe Barbadensis miller

Casia Augustifolia

Glycyrrhiza Glabra

Cymbopogon Citratus

Withania Somnifera

Emblica Officinalis

This can be achieved through adoption of Good Agricultural Practices and organic farming. Foreign buyers are very much particular about pesticide residues and consistent active ingredient.

INOVA therefore decided to take up a systematic approach towards cultivation of medicinal plants to provide a consistent and standardized supply of medicinal plant produce of international quality. We have tried to marry the co-relation between the farmer’s needs and that of companies requiring Standardized Herbal Extracts. These observations led to the discovery of an integrated system for promoting and protecting medicinal plant cultivation.

A basic ecological principle of biodynamic is to conceive the farm as an organism, a self-contained entity. A farm is said to have its own individuality. INOVA’s entire philosophy works on this principal right from roots to fruits. All our contract farms are integrated with this common thread.

INOVA therefore decided to carry through vertical integration which has turned out to be a highly successful business model that has witnessed unprecedented success in every industry. We strive to achieve this by backward integration in form of Contract farming.

We have two Research Farms totaling 300 acres of land where we are growing plant varieties suitable to the agro climatic conditions.

Our contract farming is spilled over to over 400 acres of land and we are constantly looking for newer locations and different varieties that can be grown successfully.

The organization is a team of dedicated professionals from various business fields and scientists working together with like minded educated farmers in a very passionate work environment.
